AMA Comment From a CPT coding perspective, combination vaccines are composed of several vaccines in a single dosage, which can be administered by a single injection. A combination vaccine offers several advantages, including, sparing the patient from multiple injections, usually costs less than two separate vaccines, and simplifies immunization schedules, which may increase patient compliance.
